Peony1, I applaud you for your work as a volunteer tax preparer.
I've never used TaxSlayer, but I did once try another competitor to TurboTax but I threw it out because it got wrong depreciation of rental property -- went back to TurboTax which seems the most reliable.
As of 12:48pm ET, 4th March the VT portion of TurboTax has yet to be updated -- still waiting and will check again later.

UPDATE: 10:30am 5th March 2021: Latest TurboTax update fixes error - the Fed "up to $300" is no longer subtracted from VT Charitable Contributions. Looks like it's safe to file or re-file. Successfully re-filed my VT 2020 taxes a few minutes ago -- hope they're accepted now!
