I'm confused. Here's the situation. I purchased TurboTax Premier. Very early as I prepared to begin entering data I was asked to pay $40 on my credit card.. I assumed it was for the filing fee for the two states I needed to file a return. When I actually tried to file the state retirns II was told I needed to pay $20 for each state. What was the first 20 for, preparing the state return? If so it's the first time it occurred for me. Perhaps I overlooked something. I can categorically say it was of no value in preparing the state returns.
