No. You have to enter your 529 contributions in the Missouri state interview screen. Do not enter this as a manual federal adjustment on your return.
Please follow these instructions to enter your 529 contributions:
- Open your return.
- Click on State on the left hand side.
- Click on Edit next to your Missouri return.
- Go through the interview until you get to a page titled Savings for Tuition Programs and answer Yes.
- Enter your 529 contributions.
Contributions to Missouri 529 plans are exempt up to $8,000 per year by an individual, and up to $16,000 per year by a married couple filing jointly.
