State tax filing
Update on my NYS return resubmission: After correcting the filing date and e-filing my state return for the second time, the return was accepted by NYS per the email I received from Intuit. I can't believe that NYS would reject a return on a filing date alone. And Intuit better not have changed anything on the return I submitted as it could leave me open to possible liability if the change is incorrect. And it would leave Intuit open for even bigger liability for tampering with returns. I suspect what happened was their software that hands off the returns to the state had a bug in it and they finally got around to correcting it. However Intuit would never admit to it since it would cast doubt about the integrity of their entire suite of software they sell. So much for thoroughly testing their software before marketing it and relying on their customers for testing and troubleshooting it for them.
