State tax filing

Thank you for replying to my question.
I get that "Inc subj to tax by oth st" can be extrapolated to "income subject to tax by other state" but that still didn't help me. Since I'm not exactly the sharpest tool in the shed, it would have been nice if the instructions said something like "subtract the amount in box Y on form Z from the amount in box X on form W and enter that number here" or something like that.
Eventually, I was able to resolve the issue by deleting and starting completely over on the AZ state tax section. Turns out I had failed to claim a certain credit involving my CA taxes. Once I did that, the original error message went away. Phew!
Anyway, hopefully if someone else is stymied by the same error message they'll see this.
