Double Counting State Income
Hello, I work for one company. I live in NJ but work in NYC. On my W-2, Box 15, 16 & 17 list out the different wages and tax for each NY and NJ. I entered this into Turbotax as one W-2 as usual but this year it added both the NY and NJ box 16 showing my NJ tax as double what it should be therefore it is over calculating tax due by thousands. Does anyone know how to correct this? I have deleted the W-2 an re-entered it but have found the same issue. Ive used Turbotax for 10 years and never had this issue.
