State tax filing

You will need to delete any input in the federal section of the program to remove this input.

After you log into TurboTax and select the Federal section located in the black panel on the left:

1. Select Deductions & Credits 
2. Scroll through all tax breaks until you see the section titled Your Home.
3. To the right of Home Energy Credits, select revisit 
4. The next screen will be titled Energy-Saving Home Improvements.  Scroll down to the bottom of the page and select "No, we did not make energy-efficient improvements or have any carryforward."
5. This will remove your credit being pulled into your state tax return.
