Thanks for your quick response. The problem is that turbotax does not give you the option to not ammend the Virginia state return. The only difference in the forms is in the first page of the new Virginia State return which says at the bottom left corner "Ammended". Everything else is identical, except for the total tax due, which is the total new corrected amount (not just the additional $6 owed).
