EIN problem on MD Tax Return
I have attempted 3 times to e-file my Maryland tax return and each time it has been rejected because it states that the payer EIN must be present. It does not specifiy what payer is missing an EIN. My Federal return was accepted the first time. I have checked all W-2s and K-1s and all have their EINs.

The reject should have a code that states which one is the problem but it is not in English or easy to understand. If you have gone through your program and verified every form has an EIN, you may need contact a specialist that can work through that rejection with you.

State tax filing
I did contact a Turbotax specialist but they could not help me. I contacted a MD tax rep but since they did not have the tax return, they could not be of assistance, so I have to file by mail.

Already did that and the specialist couldn't determine what the problem was. Not enough information was provided by the state.
