I bought Turbo Tax Deluxe, I've filed the federal and got my refund. Turbo Tax did my state return and I opted not to pay to have it filed, instead I copied what was on the state return as I filed online with the state of Colorado. According to the state form, on line 1 it asks to put in the amount from the Federal 1040 line 11b which is $0.00. But using my printed state form from Turbo Tax that I printed out, the amount shown on line was is -$7,262.00. I used that amount when I filed with the state and just realized that that was wrong. I've sent a message to the state of Colorado about the error wondering if I need to file an amended return with them...still waiting to hear from them.
Why did Turbo Tax put in the incorrect amount?? Everything was filled in automatically by your software so I used your print out. I think you need to verify that your software is doing the State of Colorado correctly.
