Are you sure this is the number of miles and not the deduction dollar amount?
What did you report on the Federal return? What forms did you use to enter the miles?
Were any miles entered on Form 2106, Employee expenses. Those miles would not count on the Federal return, but could on the State return.
Were any miles entered as medical expenses? Those could be limited based on your income.
