An asset for tangible property tax purposes in Florida would be any item of furniture or equipment, it would not matter if you expensed it on your federal tax return. You need to keep in mind, however, that you get an exemption from tax for the first $25,000 of tangible property you have in Florida, provided you file the property tax return on time.
