To fix this, you need to go back to the W-2 forms in the federal return.
Login to your TurboTax Account and continue your return.
- Select Federal on the left
- Under Income & Expenses, the top section will be Job (W-2), click Add/ Edit on the right.
- You will get to a screen that says Here's Your W-2 info, select the W-2 that is causing the error, if you are not sure which one is causing the problem, start with the first one.
- Select Edit/Add to the right.
- Scroll down to box 15, clear and then re-enter the state abbreviation.
- Click Continue until you return to Here's Your W-2 info, repeat if necessary.
- Select Review and Continue.
