If you are referring to the EIN on your W-2, this could be an issue on the side of the payer.
First, please double-check your data entry to make sure that there were no accidental typos. If your data entry was correct, you will need to get a corrected W-2 from your employer. It's best to contact your employer to have is corrected. If they do not correct it, visit IRS.gov for options, or read on:
If by the end of February, your attempts to have the W-2 corrected by your employer are unsuccessful, you can request that an IRS representative initiate a Form W-2 complaint. Call the IRS toll free at 800-829-1040 or make an appointment to visit an IRS Taxpayer Assistance Center (TAC).
