State tax filing
Yes, in general as a nonresident you pay income tax on any income earned in the nonresident state (if the state has an income tax). For your RESIDENT state you must report and pay state tax on all income regardless of where it was earned. You do get a credit in your resident state for any tax you paid to the nonresident state on the same income, but since Texas does not have a state income tax, you do not get the credit.
