State tax filing

You need to call support, 800-4INTUIT.  They should be able to refund the "extra" download, and also explain that your state won't download.  They will ask to screen share.  Explain that you have seen people in the forums with this problem, and the only fix was a standalone state download.  Be polite -- it isn't the support persons fault -- but firm.

 

There are about a dozen threads about state stuck in a loop, state failing to download, etc.  One person said he had to copy a .key file from l from a previous years program.  But what workednfor me, and several others is to ask ror a standalone state download.  Don't hang up untill they give it to you.
