State tax filing

Maybe because you have both states downloaded, but you don't want to file a MN return for yourself, so you should delete that tax return from your return and E-file only the ND return.  The MN software will stay loaded to use with your son's return.   But it could be that you have referenced MN somewhere in your return.  Before you delete anything, click on Personal Info up top and go back through that section and make sure you did not indicate anything about MN.   When you click on State Taxes up top, you should see ND listed under Your State Returns and MN listed under Other installed states.

To remove the state return in the desktop version, click on the File menu at the top of the screen and select Remove State Return.
