I don't use a Mac, but in the Windows program, you can simply return to the FILE section of the program and go through that portion of the interview again. You should be able to change to File By Mail there. Additionally, when revisiting that section step-by-step, you should be able to edit/update your direct deposit information.
I hate the "extortion" fee, as well, but I usually do it since it's just simpler.
