Minnesota charitable contributions on form M1M
TurboTax put a dollar amount on line 18 of Minnesota schedule M1M which is the income subtraction for charitable contributions over $500. According to the instructions, this line is figured using schedule M1SA, whether you file it or not (I did not). The instructions for schedule M1SA where you enter qualified charitable contributions says, "If you filed federal Schedule A ..." Since I did not file Schedule A, why is TurboTax filling in a dollar amount here? I have submitted a question to the Minnesota Dept. of Revenue to get this clarified, as well.
