State tax filing
Thanks. But I can't claim non-resident because I moved into NYC on 12/01. So turbo makes me enter part time resident for 1 month. That may be why it isn't showing the NYC Employment tax item you mention? If that's the case, then it is a real flaw in the turbo program. Surely a nyc employee who moves into nyc for part of the year can't be so unusual. My w-2 shows nyc income and nyc tax withheld for just that one month, and my 1127.2 statement does show the correct amount withheld for 11 month. But the 1127 form that turbo fills in doesn't show the non-resident amount withheld by nyc for the other 11 months, only the nyc tax withheld for one month. That's obviously because it doesn't prompt the dialogue you refer to. Seems as if I just have to fill out the 1127 form manually and enter the correct info unless there is some other way. Thoughts?
