State tax filing
You do not need a corrected W-2. Enter your W-2 exactly as is. You have to file a tax return in both states. You must file a non-resident tax return in Illinois in addition to your regular tax return in Indiana. That's because (like all other states) Illinois can tax non-residents on income earned within its borders. You'll be able to take a credit on your IN return for taxes paid to IL.
This TurboTax FAQ explains how to file a non-resident return: https://ttlc.intuit.com/questions/1901271-how-do-i-file-a-nonresident-state-return
**Answers are correct to the best of my ability but do not constitute tax or legal advice.
