State tax filing

It depends.  The KY nonresident form is multi-purposed.  It is also used for part-year returns as well as a few other situations.  So TurboTax must ask the questions that the forms are asking for in order to make sure the return is completely covered.

But what you can expect to see is that KY will calculate what your KY tax would be on all of your income, and then assess the tax amount based on the percentage of income earned there, which in this case sounds like it is $1500.

For any questions having to do with residency you will answer that you were a nonresident.  You will not have KY use tax due (sales tax) either, as this is also a resident question.
