State tax filing
Not necessarily. You will be considered VA part year resident if you moved there during the year with the intent of becoming a resident of VA. Otherwise, you are a nonresident of VA, if you received taxable income from Virginia sources, please file Nonresident VA tax return.
In TurboTax, once you report your true resident state, you will be asked if you made money in another state, select VA as the state.
