State tax filing
It asks every filer for this number during the review, even if you don't have to file school taxes. It asks for the district name in the interview but doesn't fill in the number. You are then forced to look up a set number in the 100 page filing manual to file your return using TurboTax. It's been this way for years and it's an absolute pain. It's an easy fix, TurboTax needs to have these numbers built in and enter it on the form when you select your school district. If you use the state's free online software it enters this number automatically, why can't TurboTax? Honestly, I'd use the state's software if it didn't make me reenter everything I already put into TurboTax. The state e-file site is more intuitive and explains the fields better in it's interview. TurboTax pretty much copied and pasted the paper form into it's interview and makes you figure out what all the fields are.
