State tax filing
@yolandapattonhic I doubt that is the reason you have two years to file taxes from previous years. What happens is when you send in your taxes the system alerted them and they pulled it for review it could have been something as simple as a box not being checked or a box that was checked but had the wrong information. It could have been that someone else tried to use your ss# and they wanted to verify your identity. There are a number of different reasons this can happen. If it were a situation where they need more information they would have told you what information they needed in the letter that was sent to you or sent you another letter requesting more information. If they said there is no other action you need to take then you just have to be patient and it will come. The 90 days is a estimate, yes it can take up until April 15 and some do and some don't they say that because they would rather tell you 90 days just in case instead of saying 2 weeks and they may not be done in that time and you get upset. The main thing is there was either a mistake made or a security risk they are trying to handle and as long as you are who you say you are and you didn't lie on your taxes there is nothing for you to worry about. And if you have not received another letter or the letter you received did ask for more information you should receive a ddd any time now... Usually within 21 days from the date of the letter but since this new path act it could be different this year. Best Wishes to you.
