State tax filing

No, you only need to select your state of residency.  Please see this FAQ for more information: https://ttlc.intuit.com/replies/3300147

 

According to rules for military, you work and “live” in the same state:  Pennsylvania (even if you were stationed elsewhere).  You would only file a Virginia return if you did work in Virginia that was not active duty military.
