Since you live separately, I'm not sure if you can file jointly in either state. As far as TurboTax CD/Download, that usually includes one free state program; you'll have to pay for the second state, but that's still better than TT Online (assuming you haven't paid for it already). You can download your TT Online work to date into a *.tax2016 file to finish it in TT CD/Download; the option's somewhere in the My Account menu.
