I am not sure if TT dropped the ball on this one or the Federal government in explaining what is required. The tax credit is ONLY for true energy-efficient products, like solar-powered skylights or solar-powered hot water heaters. The producers get coupons from the Feds for solar only. If the product is not solar-powered, you will not receive a rebate, regardless of whether you have the required number. I installed both a hot water heater and a Velux skylight, but neither was solar (or hydro!) powered, so I am not going to fraudulently apply for the rebate and risk an audit, but that is just me.
