State tax filing

Velux had been promoting their skylights with solar-powered blinds as being eligible for the credit for solar energy property, however, they have since retracted that guidance - check this link.

I did find Velux on the Energy Star website and they do have skylights that qualify for the Residential Energy-Efficient Credit.

If your skylights do qualify for the credit, I would recommend contacting Velux USA to ask them for their QMID code so that you can claim the credit on your tax return.

Nearly all energy-efficient credits are no longer available in 2026, with only the Alternative energy fueling credit for home charging stations being available through June 30, 2026.
