State tax filing

When your did your state taxes, did you do your non-resident return(s) before your WI resident return?  If not, you may want to go back and delete your WI return (click the trashcan icon in Prepare States in the online version.  If using the desktop version, go to State Taxes, then click File, then Remove State in the dropdown.  Click on WI, then click Remove).

Once the non-resident returns are completed, go back and work on the WI return.  Once you get to Summary of Schedule(s) OS, click Edit on Copy Number 1 - this will allow you to view the information that will appear on Schedule OS.  When I did this on a mock return, this form was already prepopulated with all the information on the other state.  Schedule OS showed up in Forms view (on desktop) with the correct tax credit for the income taxed in another state and the credit flowed to line 20 on Form 1.
