Follow these steps:
- Return to the 1099 and edit
- The MN state id should be exactly 7 digits long.
- Verify the state id is 7 digits long with no dashes, no MN prefix, no blank. You may want to delete the entire entry and type it in again manually to be sure there isn't a ghost blank hidden in there.
The program will use the federal id - 9 digits or add MN to the front if it is not 7 digits.
