It may be that you are receiving the standard deduction this year because of the standard deduction increase because of OBBBA. As a result, if the standard deduction was the best deduction for you, your medical and dental expenses were not reported. If you take a standard deduction for federal income taxes, you take it for Massachusetts income taxes.

 

If you don't itemize on your Federal return, Massachusetts (by default) removes your eligibility for the medical deduction on Schedule Y. That is why the information doesn't show up.
