State tax filing
If it was only that easy.
At " do you have any of these situations"
The check mark for Dawn ( my wife) is totally disabled is greyed out and can not be unchecked.
Although Dawn is totally disabled, they require a form N-172 signed by a physician. No mention about submitting social security documentation that determined she is.
This is the first and only time submitting a Hawaii state return. I wanted to compare the difference between married filing separately, married filing jointly, and married filing jointly with her disabled.
I want to see if the extra refund was worth the hassle filing form N-172 with Hawaii tax board.
BUT I CAN'T UNMARK DISABLED FOR MY WIFE.
thank you for trying to help
