State tax filing
If the Kentucky State ID number you were given is more than 6 digits, please remove any extra zeros at the beginning (or the end) of the number to make it six digits. This should allow your return to be e-filed.
If there are no extra zeros at the beginning or end of the number, then your employer may have given you the Kentucky UI Employer Account number instead, which is typically 9 digits. That is not the correct number. Per the Kentucky Dept of Revenue, withholding tax account numbers are 6 digits.
