State tax filing
The AZ family income tax credit will only reduce your taxes to zero and cannot be refunded.
It is possible with the income you list, that you have no taxes due on your return to use the family income tax credit. Look at your AZ tax form 140A, 21 or AZ tax form 140, line 48 to see if there is a zero. You would not receive a family credit. If there is an amount on those lines, the next line should give you a family income tax credit if you qualify.
The AZ family income tax credit is based on filing status, number of dependents and maximum income limits.
For example: A husband and wife with 4 or more dependents, Arizona adjusted gross income (from Form 140A, line 12 or Form 140, line 42 minus lines 38, 39, 40, 41) would need to be $31,000 or less.
For a single taxpayer without dependents, federal adjusted gross income (from Form 140A, line 12) would need to be $10,000 or less.
