I received a letter from Illinois stating my W2 was not sent with my tax forms and that I now owe. Yes, I used Turbo Tax. I sent them the W2 showing I did indeed pay Illinois taxes. They have not even looked at the information I have sent and it has been 30 days now. I finally reached someone and was told it takes 90-120 days for them to respond! I take extra out of my pay for state and federal because I do not want to owe. State owes me more than usual and I am terrified I am going to get fees and penalties leading to not being owed what I am owed. I am baffled, can someone please explain this to me?
