State tax filing

Thanks Marilyn - I now understand what you & Brittany were suggesting, and by clicking the 'File by mail' option on the first screen which mentions my Federal Return, it does end up preparing the documents in my State return in a way that I can submit them by mail.  The workflow then wants to walk me through the Federal return section as if I'm submitting via mail, but I can just jump forward to the 'Print/Save for Your Records' section and the forms are all prepared appropriately.  I have what I need now - thanks again for your clarification.

My apologies for my confusion for what was ultimately a simple fix -- but the way this decision/workflow is presented to users is (in my opinion) not very clear.  I'm presented with 1 choice that is offered on a page that specifically mentions Federal returns only, but yet that choice impacts both my Federal & State returns.  It's also confusing that the software doesn't acknowledge (at this decision point) that my Federal return is already e-filed & complete (on the next screen after selecting 'File by Mail' - it does present a warning that my Federal return was already e-filed)
