State tax filing

For Missouri, you have two options: File as a Resident (all income is taxed but you get a credit fore the taxes paid to Michigan) or Nonresident (where you would only pay tax on the Missouri income $30K).  Below is the screen where you can select-you can see it if you go back to General Info.  In most cases, there is not a big difference either way, unless you were in a no-income-tax state, in which case the Nonresident is better.

 

You will see all the income taxed in Missouri if you selected Filing as Resident.  The Michigan taxes are kind of hidden, but they do reduce the total tax paid to Missouri.
