State tax filing
Documents are available for me to preview & save/download - but the documents are prepared such that they are set-up for an e-file submission.
The 'Filing Instructions' page is titled "Electronic Filing Instructions for your 2024 Pennsylvania Tax Return".
PA also has a form "PENNSYLVANIA INDIVIDUAL INCOME TAX DECLARATION FOR ELECTRONIC FILING" [PA-8453] - Turbotax is also generating & pre-filling this form as well.
On the PA-40 (Income Tax Return), the field for "E-File Opt Out" is set to 'N', when it should be 'Y'.
The 'Filing Instructions' page also indicates "Do not mail a paper copy of your tax return. Since you filed
electronically, the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue already has your return." -- this is not correct. I have not yet submitted my return via e-file, I did not pay the $25 fee to do so, and the PA Dept of Revenue website status checker does not indicate that my return has been file.
So the forms are being generated, but they are being generated as if I want to (or already have) e-file - and I do not. If I go to the "Check E-File Status" tab in TurboTax, it (correctly) indicates that my Federal tax return was already e-file'd & accepted, and it makes no mention of my State tax return at all.
