State tax filing
I assume you are using the desktop software. First make sure you have the correct version of Deluxe. What does it say on your receipt or box?
Deluxe desktop comes in 2 versions--one that is Federal-only and one that is the Federal and State combo version. If you purchased directly from TurboTax, it should be the combo Fed and State version. If purchased elsewhere, it would be whichever of the 2 versions of Deluxe you chose.
So if you DO have the combo version, try this to see if it makes any difference. First run the "check for updates" and apply any updates. Then close TurboTax and restart your computer. Launch TurboTax and let it check once again for updates. Then open your return and in the top menubar (at least in the Windows version) click on ONLINE, and in the dropdown choose "Download state."
