I was a college student (and worked) in California but a resident of Idaho until June, then became a resident of California. Do I need to file taxes in both states?

I was a college student (and worked) in California but a resident of Idaho until June, then became a resident of California. Do I need to file taxes in both states?
I was previously a dependent in Idaho until 2015, and I'm now filing as independent.
