TurboTax won't allow filing without California Secretary of State file (SOS) number. California does not require this for General Partnerships. Is it OK to enter zeros?
Using TurboTax Business 2017, when trying to e-file the California return, it keeps going back to review and asking to enter the SOS number.
My business is a small general partnership. I have checked on the California state website and it indicates registration for this number is OPTIONAL for general partnerships.
In past versions of TurboTax, it wasn't required to enter this number to e-file.
Is it OK to enter zeros in this field in order to complete the filing process?
