As you go through the SC tax return, look for the screen titled, Take a look at South Carolina credits and taxes, or from the main SC menu to go over your taxes again, click Edit beside Credits and Taxes. Then follow these steps:
- Scroll to the bottom of the screen and click Start or Revisit beside Other credits > South Carolina Other Non-refundable Credits.
- Check the box beside None of the Above on the first page, then click Continue.
- Check the box beside Exceptional Needs Child Credit, then click Continue.
- Enter your information on the next screen to claim the credit.
