State tax filing
You should go over your Minnesota return to make sure that you answered everything correctly.
- When you start your Minnesota return, one of the first questions is about your living situation. Make sure it isn't marked that you rented a home.
- Continue the questions until you get to the Other Minnesota Credits screen. Make sure that the Renter's Credit isn't selected.
No other screens about the renter's credit should come up. See the images below for your reference as you enter the information on your return:
