I lived & wored in Michigan 2024, employer incorrectly had me listed also in Kentucky for a few months on W4 until I asked them to correct it. They gave me a small refund via payroll & now I get W2 and KY listed, with an amt in Box 16, yet box 17 reads "0".
I already filed Turbo tax list3d everything in Michigan, did not file in KY. Do I have to amend? I demanded my employer give me corrected W2 as KY should not even have been listed at all.
Since employer gave me back extra money in paycheck for error, how do I handle this when KY & an amt is still listed on W2? Or do I keep as is since nothing listed in box 17.
