I live in NYC and work in New Jersey. When filling out line 1 of IT-112R, it asks for me to enter of my wages, "Portion Taxed by New Jersey"
Do I enter the amount in Box 1, "Wages, tips and other comp."
OR from Box 16, which is "State Wages, tips, etc."
Because a lot of income is directed to retirement plans, the amount in box 1 is much lower than the amount listed in box 2.
