To enter your Section 529 contributions in the Arizona portion of TurboTax:
- Open TurboTax Online
- Select Tax Home in the left pane
- On the Hi, let's keep working on your taxes! screen, select the dropdown on the right side of State Taxes, then select Start, Continue or Pick up where you left off
- Select Prepare State in the left pane
- Work through the next screens until you reach the Status of your state returns screen
- Select Start or Continue to the right of Arizona
- Proceed through the state interview until you get to the Any Income Adjustments? screen
- Select the box to the left of I have a qualified 529 plan or an ABLE account, then select Continue
- Select Yes (if appropriate) to the left of Did you contribute to any 529 savings plans? and answer the other questions appropriately, then select Continue
- On the Contributions to a 529 Savings Plans screen, enter your relevant information, then select Continue
- Continue through the Arizona interview
A similar process should be in place in other state interviews, as relevant.
