Follow on question... Turbo Tax is flagging a field in my Oregon state return. The "Dates of Residency" fields. It wants "from" and "to". The "to" is obvious. 12/31/2023. But the "from" is less obvious. Since I've been a resident all year, maybe it should be 1/1/2023. But since my wife (and our tax entity of a joint couple) has only been a resident since 9/2/2023, maybe that's the correct "from" date. I suspect if I go with 1/1/2023 my return will be flagged as incorrectly filing part year resident. So I'm leaning towards 9/2/2023 but don't know if that will have some other unintended consequence. Thoughts?
