State tax filing

You can amend your 2021 and 2022 CA tax returns to adjust your CA income by following the steps below:

1. Open TurboTax.
2. Scroll down to Your tax returns & documents and select the year you want to amend.
3. Select Amend (change) return, then Amend using TurboTax Online.
4. On the screen OK, let's get a kickstart on your 20xx amended return, select The IRS or state sent me a notice (this option will let you to amend only your state return without making changes to your federal) and Continue.
5. On the next screen, select Something Else and Continue.
6. On the screen Tell us which 20xx return(s) you want to amend, select 20xx state.
7. Continue until the Let's Amend your State Taxes screen. Select Amend next to your state return, and continue through the screens to make your amendments.
