State tax filing

That 12/366th is what was left in the year, but you probably pay even less than that.  You can use that if you choose, but, in reality, you only pay tax on income that you earned in NJ and was paid before the calendar year.  Very, very rare that the last week of the year is paid out before the year is over; it is usually paid in following year.  You can use that fraction if you wish (and do so if there's no tax anyways), but it's probably accurate to have an even lower number.  I don't see you having very much tax to pay in NJ this year, if you have to pay at all.

It is always a pleasure to assist whenever we can.
